Getting Organized In The New Year

As you start the new year, I'm sure "organization" may be on your mind. Redesigning your space is always exciting! Why not start with creating the perfect home office. A workplace that you enjoy and a place that will motivate you to accomplish your 2018 goals!
You want to start by choosing the desk that is both functional and of course stylish! I was looking for a desk to fit in my master bedroom for my home office. A desk that was not too small but not too big. This desk from pottery barn was just what I was looking for to fit my space. I loved the details in the legs and the drawers for storage.
Next you want to choose your lighting for your desk. I usually like to check all available items before selecting the right piece. However, when I saw this lamp at Target, I knew it was perfect for my home office! What a beautiful design and color!
Now who doesn't love cute desk accessories! If you are anything like me, you probably just want to buy everything that you see. I decided to go to Target and Home Goods. I have to say I absolutely love anything Nate Berkus! Naturally, I went directly to where I could find all things Nate Berkus at Target and picked up the cool magnetic giraffe and geometric shaped pencil holder. The other cute items I bought were from Home Goods. I know what you are thinking. From all the unique and variety of items from Home Goods, how can you resist the urge to buy every item you pick up! Well I must say, although it can get out of hand, I did manage to resist and was able to buy a few cute key essentials - letter holder, stapler, a pretty glass storage box for items like a paperclips/thumb tacks.
To complete this space, I needed wall art. I bought a combination of different pieces from again my favorite two stores - Target and Home Goods. With some help from my 13 year old son, we placed the wall decor in a beautiful collage style. Now it was perfect!
Hope you find the perfect functional, unique, and stylish items for your home office. Daunting as it may be, any way you choose to start and complete your space will be great! Plan every detail from the beginning or simply let your creativity for your place evolve. Just remember to always have fun while you are designing your space. After all, you will be creating a special part of your home that will inspire you for all the new and exiting things to come in the New Year!
